My name is Lijin Zeng. With a background in ecology, I am constantly in awe of nature, where I find joy, comfort, and a sense of wonder. Whether life feels uplifting or weighs me down, nature has always been there for me, offering reflection and company (along with my family, of course).
Cyanotype is a century-old photographic process that uses sunlight to create distinctive blue-and-white images, one print at a time. Inspired by my love for plants and the stories they hold within a community of living creatures, I specialize in botanical cyanotype, working with hundreds of plant species to capture their unique forms and shadows on paper. The endless ideas and possibilities that plants have to offer keep me busy exploring, always curious and eager to discover something new.
I hope that my art brings you what nature brings me – a little piece of the natural world in your life, a moment of comfort, a quiet connection with nature, and a gentle reminder of the vast world beyond our everyday lives.
