Laura Caffrey
Mixed media assemblage.
Laura Caffrey finds beauty in the intentionally discarded and the inadvertently abandoned, the crumpled and cracked, and the back sides of things. She is drawn to the varying effects time and the environment have on different materials. With her carefully crafted intimate assemblages, Caffrey calls attention to the curious bits and pieces people may not have had the opportunity or taken the time to notice. With Caffrey’s lifelong fascination with art, architecture, history, sustainability, travel and curation, she has been producing art while learning and working in these fields. Her avid curiosity provides her access to people and places which others may not have, and in most cases, yields the very materials with which she works. She finds amazing things on the ground wherever she goes. Caffrey has collectors nation-wide, shown her work in Austin galleries, participated in the City of Austin’s People Gallery, and in 2018 had a well-received show of 46 pieces at Austin’s Dougherty Arts Center. Caffrey owns and operates Fine Art Services, a 31-year-old custom picture framing shop, in Austin, Texas, where she frames her own work and that of many other local artists, and for interior designers and collectors. Her email is monkeyislandqueen@gmail.com, and images of her work are available at www.facebook.com/caffreyart/ and www.instagram.com/lauracaffreyart/ but she insists the pieces are best viewed in person, given their subtly compelling three-dimensional nature.

Rebekah Molander
I am a Contemporary Houston Artist. As far back as I can remember, all I ever wanted to do was create. When I was little I just wanted to make beautiful things to make people smile. As I got older and experienced more in life, I found I had a lot I actually wanted to say, but had a hard time putting it into words… but Where Words Fail, Art Speaks. followyourartbyreka.com

My Art is Bright, and Exciting, and sometimes Intense, and I am constantly trying new styles and techniques. Constantly trying to learn new things and continue growing.
For me, it’s about pouring your heart into something, creating something, and over hours and days, sometimes weeks, it all comes together, and then someone sees it and it stops them. For whatever reason they feel connected to it, it just fits them like a piece they were missing, and that’s it, in that moment your heart and their heart just completely connected. And that’s an amazing thing.
My art is just a collection of all of my thoughts, my dreams, my feelings, and my stories I could never figure out how to say, so I put them on a canvas and draw a line around them.

Tiffany Nesbit
Tiffany Nesbit is a New Orleans artist, now working in Houston. Her studio practice is heavily influenced by both walks in the wilderness and urban areas of the southern states. She uses high fired ceramics, mixed media collage, ropes, and various weathered materials in her work. Her pottery describes the color pallets, plantlife and tropical bayou landscapes, including the creatures in them. You can find more of her installation work online at: www.tiffanyangelnesbit.com or follow her instagram @tiffanyangelstudioartist
Robin Whalan
Robin Whalan is an emerging visual artist, currently working in ink and printmaking. Self-taught, she found her voice through the power of art during the 2020 pandemic. Robin’s work is an expression of her own personal life experiences. A native Houstonian and historical building enthusiast with a background in interior design, she enjoys implementing local architecture, specializing in Art Deco. Her work is an emotional rollercoaster of heartbreak, love, disaster and humor; “relatable” and “honest” being the most commonly used words by viewers when describing her pieces.
Gary Frisk
The art I create is a fusion of sorts of painterly representational and impressionism and what some call abstract realism; in oils only, not acrylic, usually on linen panel.
I plein air paint often: oilfield, architectural, industrial and mechanical creations: old vehicles in auto and truck rest yards, old structures and bridges, West Texas oilfield scenes and coastal water craft, especially if they are in the boatyard for repair. Bring beauty to the uninteresting, used and worn commonplace objects. I also do paint landscapes if the scene is interesting.
My hope is that folks will see my art and their eyes have a peaceful place to rest; perhaps invoking a memory or whisking them away to an another place. Make something to lift someone’s spirits. Kindle an emotion of what my vision brings to their heart and let them have a smile.
I am an award wining artist. All my paintings are original one of a kind fine art oil paintings. Anyone who purchases one of my oil paintings will own an original fine art oil painting from an artist whose work is exhibited in a fine art museum; I earned the Museum Purchase Award at the 2019 EnPleinAirTEXAS event.
