I’m intrigued with creating illusory portraits at the moment. By pairing acrylic with the palette knife, I’m able to carve out these interesting unfinished faces. The fast drying nature of the acrylic allows me to layer and assemble each element to the face a different way. I love creating depth and illusion in artwork, forcing the eye out of its comfort zone.
