Jimmie Shealey, an American artist and self-taught painter, began painting at the age of fifteen. During a long career in public safety as a firefighter-paramedic, Jimmie developed a profound curiosity about human emotions and experiences, which deeply informs his artistic practice today. He began painting professionally after retiring from 30 years of public service.
Jimmie has gained recognition for his work, having been published in both national and international art publications. He has received numerous accolades, including first-place and best-in-show awards in various local and national juried art events. His artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally in prestigious galleries.
Early influences on Jimmie’s artistic journey include masters such as Andrew Wyeth, John Singer Sargent, and Vilhelm Hammershøi, whose approaches to light, emotion, and storytelling narratives continue to inspire him today. In a constant pursuit of growth and exploration, he enjoys participating in workshops led by other artists, delving into different techniques and ideas to expand his creative horizons.
Through his art, he invites viewers to pause, reflect, and engage with the quiet tension that precedes life’s moments, encapsulating the delicate and profound essence of these experiences. His work moves viewers to step into the unspoken worlds captured on his canvas.

Pooja Taneja
Pooja is a visionary abstract realism artist who pushes the boundaries of artistic expression through a captivating blend of abstract and realistic elements. Born with a passion for art and a unique perspective on the world, Pooja combines imagination and observation to create visually stunning artworks that are a vibrant tapestry woven from her global adventures, blending the bold colors of Mumbai, the opulence of Dubai, and the eclectic vibe of Houston. Drawing inspiration from the complexities of human experiences, Pooja captures the essence of emotions, memories, and the ethereal nature of existence through her art. Her distinctive style seamlessly merges abstract forms, vibrant colors, and intricate details, resulting in a harmonious visual symphony that resonates with viewers on a profound level.
David James Strain
My drawings and paintings explore construction and deconstruction, where organization and disorganization are somehow working together. Building up and tearing down is seen everywhere in the world and expands out within the vastness of our universe. The imagery is reminiscent of worldly themes and materials, where urban infrastructure and natural landscapes are in opposition, but working together to create destruction and harmony.
All of the paintings are created using acrylic paint on hand constructed wooden supports. Each piece is completely crafted using precision, patience and craftsmanship. The backside is finished using the same quality as the front and is signed and titled. Each title is designed as a way of summarizing the work using visually similar elements as the front.
