Joel Anderson’s artwork showcases the beauty and versatility of encaustics. With its ability to resemble smooth glass or heavy texture, he layers, embeds, transfers images, and etches to create artwork that pops. JoelAndersonArt.com 713-829-1065
Joel Anderson is a largely self-taught artist specializing in encaustic paintings. He produces his art start-to-finish from hauling 4’x8′ sheets of plywood home and cutting them down, mixing his own encaustic medium, and making his own frames.
Joel’s background is information technology, which he retired from professionally but carries elements of into his artwork.
He is a member artist at Archway Gallery and an active volunteer with the Visual Arts Alliance.

I am a Houston-based photographer specializing in “found art” – unusual views on everyday objects and locations – with a scavenger aesthetic that is evident both in my subject matter and my framing presentations. Although photography is far and away my primary medium, I also display a number of mixed media and textile repurposed creations. To me, scavenging is the art of nostalgia in a disposable world! Please check out my website at www.jennywilde.com to view my gallery and for more information on my scavenger aesthetic.832-722-7148
I love to paint and that is what I do now. My paintings reflect my life and God’s creation. I render many coastal themed pieces, but also love animals and people. My goal is to reflect the personality of my subjects or the character and charm of objects. Acrylics are my go paint for smaller pieces, but I also use oils.
Although an engineer by training I have always been an artist by nature. I find minerals and crystals to be some of the most beautiful objects in nature. Crystals are like a window to the soul, possessing mystical qualities millions of years in the making. All my paintings contain some form of crushed quartz or glass which has been embedded in transparent oil paints. Welcome to my fantasy mineral world! 770-558-0158

I’m intrigued with creating illusory portraits at the moment. By pairing acrylic with the palette knife, I’m able to carve out these interesting unfinished faces. The fast drying nature of the acrylic allows me to layer and assemble each element to the face a different way. I love creating depth and illusion in artwork, forcing the eye out of its comfort zone. This is what my process achieves for me. arebeleyeart.com
I am a fine art nature photographer. I choose a camera as my tool because the art I see in nature is so real, so I do not want to alter it too much. A camera lets me see the world that animals and plants see. Through the lens, I imagine what it is like to be them. I would like my viewers to feel closer to the nature I see and remember that this is such a beautiful planet we live in.

I am an explorer of art in nature and a photographer of its beauty. My mission is to bring something beautiful from nature into people’s everyday lives in a form of fine art photography. I spend days and hours in order to capture nature’s magical moments and carefully attempt to match my prints with what the human eye experiences as closely as possible.
I grew up at the foot of beautiful Mt. Fuji in Japan, running around the rice fields, exploring around to find tadpoles, snakes, and butterflies. I remember I was always happy to find wildflowers in a small abandoned lot. I remember I loved the backyard of our apartment complex because it was covered with white clove flowers in the season. Spending days and hours in order to capture the beauty of nature reminds me of my childhood, making me feel like I am back to my real self.
After 13 years working for newspapers as a journalist documenting the human world, I decided to pursue my innate desire — to observe and document the beauty of wildlife and their habitats. I am trying to incorporate my skills from my newspaper career and my artistic vision when I photograph my subjects. Based in Houston, Texas, while capturing the beauty of the state of Texas on a regular basis, I travel to other parts of the world and explore the beauty of nature whenever I have a chance to do so.
