Multimedia 2D and 3D abstract constructions. “Reconstruction” is a word I’ve used to describe my style. As a child I was always taking things apart and rearranging them to suit my sensibility.” My education in architecture and furniture design come through in my art.
My art is primarily oil on canvas, occasionally including collage with Japanese rice paper for texture and added interest. My impasto brushwork and often energetic hues are balanced by a minimalist composition and limited palette.
As a studio artist, I have the freedom to adjust colors and composition of ordinary landscapes with unusual colors and styles.
I think I was in 4th grade when someone told me I had something with colors. But it took me quite some time before I really started painting, first I was painting in an impressionist style, just because I fell in love with the colors of Provence. But my real love is abstract painting … there is so much creativity involved. It’s all about colors, balance, energy …
Kathleen Buys’ birds are a perfect juxtaposition of realism to abstract. The organic bare wood elements layered with washes of paint is a beautiful compliment to the photo realistic birds painted with oil. The bird invites viewers to come closer to investigate brushstroke for proof that they are not photos.
Daniela Pasqualini is an internationally collected Italian Artist living and painting in Houston, TX. She creates modern abstract painting with rich colors and texture. She works with acrylic, mixed media and oil on canvas.
Daniela transforms observations of nature into abstract patterns. Reacting against conventional landscape paintings, Daniela has broken down the elements of fauna, flora and found objects into colors and lines. This approach allows her to convey not only visual but tactual sensations and rhythms similar to ones created by nature.
I am an abstract expressionist painter using color, flow, and intuitive guidance as I dance across canvas with oil , acrylic, palette knife and brushwork.
KOLORIZED by eva konopka I create unique colored pencil drawings, which come out of love for bringing vibrant colors together and mixing them in abstract forms on a white page.
My drawings picture abstract images from my imagination with recurrent motives of spheres and orbs, mandalas, surreal characters and silhouettes, trees, dreamy and mysterious landscapes.
The most rewarding aspect of my passion for drawing is seeing people smile genuinely when looking at my humble creations.

Since the mid-1980s I have been interested in the form and tonality of B&W and the drama of dynamic color in photography. Strong graphic qualities are what my eye is attracted to when on any photoshoot, be it an urban or nature setting. In both environments, I am particularly interested in those quiet, isolated moments that occur if, as a photographer, I am prepared to receive them. Strong images are everywhere. Allowing the image to manifest itself and be prepared to capture it is a joyous endeavor. www.johnlynchphoto.com 713-249-2194
