At ArtBridge Houston, we believe in making weekly therapeutic and expressive arts classes accessible to any youth, adults or veterans living in homelessness, as well as to families experiencing the trials of poverty or patients struggling with hospitalization. Why? Because art heals.

SUNDAY STREETS
MOST of you are certainly familiar with Sunday Streets. If not, read more about it on their Facebook Page here.
As a group, we are invited to participate at ALL of them! Now that is cool don’t you think? I cannot work these events, here’s the deal; pick a date, confirm with me that you are interested and I’ll let the City of Houston | Mayor’s Office of Special Events know. That’s right, you ARE kind of a big deal!
Leader: I would like someone to step up that can be in “charge” and to point the way at setup, for each of these events. If you are interested, holler. I’ll provide banners for the market and any other setup equipment you may need.
Dates and Places:
–Sunday, October 2, 2016 in Energy Corridor on Eldridge Parkway
–Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Fifth Ward.
–Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Garden Oaks/Oak Forest.
CURATE
I have found a website system that allows others to participate easily in the curating (jurying) process for my shows; Submittable.com.
It is super easy and works from a computer or mobile device. You can leave comments and voting is a simple thumb up or down.
I am looking for a “pool” of artists interested in being part of the process to curate applications for both First Saturday Arts Market, and the new Market at Sawyer Yards.
If either or both strike your fancy just shoot me an email. This will be temporary – allowing for a wider group of interests to curate.
