Some people just like to volunteer, no credit necessary. Like @jansmugirl, a Heights resident. So we say, follow her on Twitter! She says: Foodie with training wheels, professional volunteer, CEO of the home. Hoping to get back to Singapore in the future.
“I don’t usually attend these very crowded events and I knew I’d been missing out over all these years. I committed to volunteering so I couldn’t back out last minute. I’m so glad I did! It was a super easy gig. I signed up for 2 one-hour shifts. I got to support the artists, who totally made the night such a success. And instead of feeling lost & on my own, I had a reason to talk to lots of new people as I fulfilled my volunteer duties. Thanks, Mitch, for coaxing me into a new experience at White Linen Nights in the Heights!”
Erik and Amy Kolflat each bring their own bit of magic to White Linen Night. Erik unleashes one of his drone cameras for some awesome aerial video. Amy is the hostess with the mostess – if you take her biz card that his! LOL. Here is Amy below with friend Ashley.
Watch for Erik’s annual video interview featuring Amy & Mitch soon! View Erik’s video from last year below.

Jeanne Haner has been showing her one of a kind dichroic earrings, pendants and art glass jewelry for many years at First Saturday Arts Market. A friend to all and, hands down, the busiest person you’ll ever meet. She has the ability to be in 3 places at once! We’re not sure where else she was on White Linen Night, but we were certainly appreciative of her help!
Visit Jeanne at the market monthly, here is her page: JH Jewelry Designs
Tom is always a welcome sight and an amazing artist too. Houston caricature artist by day. Fine artist by night. Or vice versa! | Live caricature entertainment | Original art available online:www.TomRyeArt.com
Here’s a caricature Tom did of Mitch (market manager). Capturing his inner feelings!
Behind the scenes and as a patron, Chris doesn’t miss many art shows. He left one volunteer gig early to join us on Saturday. Chris is head of artist relief at Bayou City Art Festival, so we all kind feel Bone-A-Fide now! When Chris isn’t volunteering or attending art functions, find him at his shop, Speed & Performance Fabrication – Automotive Customizing.

By the time everyone is done setting up, Kevin arrives! Then we relax as Kevin speaks for us all as the Info Booth Aficionado! Thanks goodness, cause the rest of us are way to tired to talk.
