I’m a painter and a writer. I’m classically trained (like the old renaissance masters in the museum). My artwork is principally classical representational and impressionist. I paint a variety of subjects principally portraits, figures and landscapes. I do commissioned work and I am also an illustrator. I’ve published two books (“The Lady of the Turquoise Pendant”, and “The Songs of My Grandfather”, both available online). I also do natural healthy coaching to keep you in a Healthy Balance. My latest art venture has become an exploration of deep ocean and massive clouds, both calm and treacherous, in an effort to allay my own fears of height and depth. I build my art panels from wood, using the grain to enhance the art piece so that, from any angle, there is beauty. I do custom work (commonly known as commissions) but must adhere to an artistic license to preserve the creative quality of the work. www.laceycrawford.com
I create artistic interpretations of life. Each moment of time is different. The lighting, the people the moment of time itself. I capture life using an instant film camera then I interpret its spirit as an artist. I paint on top of the actual photograph ( 2.5 inches x 5 inches ) creating a one of a kind art piece. The photo is now art and there is no other copy of the actual photo. When the art is complete it represents that one of a kind moment in time. I call my technique: LIQUID EMULSION. The eye of a photographer. The heart of an artist.
My art is available both as original and in printed versions. 713-569-4204
Currently I am generating abstract, expressionist paintings using primarily acrylics as my tool of experimentation. Toss a Pop Art influence into the mix to round out what impacts my style. Mixed media is an increasing influence with many works incorporating plaster, copper wire, organic elements – sand, salt, rock, glass as well as print media. A few even include a favourite old shirt to worn to wear again. My art is diverse in subject and is extremely colorful and textural. It should provoke more than one sense in you. 832-248-8486 eugenejohnhughes.com
My artwork derives from an overwhelming need to visually translate what I have seen or read, experienced or witnessed over a complex lifetime to date. Emotion. Religion. Family. Friends. Past, present, estranged or already gone. Today I see with a clean internal eye. A soul. I see purple in nearly everything. I understand. For the first time, all is finally out of myself and into a tangible visual, hold it in my hand form. Using color and texture, paint and canvas, and other elements, I can clearly execute and therefore share my experience. This is integral to my work. The introvert turned inside out. Revelation. This is the journey I was meant to take and it has just begun. My artwork allows you to participate with me along the way.
My art is all about repurposing. I take damaged vinyl records, smash them with a high heel, and create beautiful mosaics, depicting everything from basic shapes to complex figures and scenes. Each piece is literally one-of-a-kind, I hope you love them as much as I do! http://www.erintade.com 409-728-3088
My work is typical, typical of life. We form ideas. We have goals in mind. We visualize the final results and work towards our visions. Along the way, we encounter unexpected twists and turns. So we adjust, we learn, and move forward. Each painting is like this for me. Doors open and close during the process, affecting my final product a great deal. Every painting has what I once perceived to be challenges to my original vision. These moments are tough to push through. However, I’ve learned to accept them as doors to unforeseen possibilities. The challenge is to remain open, accepting them as doors of opportunity to paint my way through. As I work through, visions beyond my original thoughts emerge. Magical moments, leading me through the misty veil and into wonderful encounters of understanding and clarity. My paintings show me the way, I’m along for the ride, reflective of life in many ways. I work in Acrylics and in oils, depending on the effect I’m in search of.
