My medium is a varied mix of tiny shells, scraps of paper, slivers of glass, thick gel mediums, crusted gouache additives, creamy acrylic and globs of oil paints, traces of watercolor and melted wax crayons combined with hardened enamels and carefully chosen 14kt gold flake.
Every piece is original and every creation is an unpredictable surprise! I create with a clear heart, no expectations. The materials combined together create a resist-like reaction and the results are different every time…..each piece is genuinely unique and original!
I’m passionate about living the artful life. I have a great appreciation for nature and animals,20% of all sales goes to S.N.A.P. (Spay and Neuter Assistance Program) for animals. I am also an active advocate for the “Adopt Don’t Shop!” movement which means finding forever homes for our homeless furry friends.

My paintings are based on direct observation. I take my French easel out into the city I call home, Houston TX. The subject matter, although always changing, is often the confluence of what I love about Houston; it’s buildings, bayous, highways, tree-lined streets and lush parks and gardens. I hope you can see the beauty of Houston in my Urban Landscapes. 713-305-6626 https://deatlyart.net@deatlyarthur

Even though I’m from Houston I received my BFA from Kansas City Art Institute. I was influenced by a professor that said art started and ended with Cezanne. My style is based on the plein air approach of painting from direct observation much like Cezanne approached his subject matter. I go out every week and paint the city I live in, It is my honest response to what I call the Beautiful Ugly that is Houston a place built in a swampy mosquito-infested marshland designed based more on greed happen chance than esthetics. Highway byways bayous and buildings.
My appreciation for color began at an early age as I watched my late father create in paint and wood as part of his many hobbies and interests. While obtaining a degree in education from Texas A&M University I realized I excelled in art – primarily sketching and painting – and went on to obtain a minor in art along with an elementary education degree. I dreamed then of focusing on art for a living but instead began a career in teaching. Fast forward a quarter century and through the blessing of a long marriage and raising three great kids I found myself in my late 40’s finally able to fulfill my dream of producing art for the enjoyment of others. I have since worked in many mediums and have for now settled upon colorful abstracts executed in resin as my primary form of expression.
I truly enjoy meeting personally with those interested in my work and hope I can help you fulfill your quest for unique andhigh-qualityy art!
As long as I can remember, all things that possess beauty have fascinated me. The goal I have always had with my photography is to show the world the beauty of Gods creation…the wild horse with its majestic beauty and grace is the one subject I have found that does that perfectly.
I feel my job, as an artist is to capture them in a state of being, not in a state of reaction…to capture the essence of the animal. I am only an observer.
When I started this project in early 2012, admittedly I did not know much about horses so I committed to letting the wild horse teach me about them. I believe that is the best way to capture the true nature of the American wild horse. robertberrymanarts.com
My current body of work is part of a growing collection titled “Fables Thus Far.”
The use of storytelling via mythologies and folklore to explain humanity’s relationship to the natural world is a universal idea and many similar motifs, for example tricksters, can be found among widespread populations. My paintings are visual fables. Bright colors and quick brustrokes tie the works to the vividness of spreading these tales by word of mouth. I use negative space and unusual compositions to bring the focus to the imagery. Animal symbolism and its archetypes play a large role in my artwork. I use animals as the main figures in my imagery and exaggerate or change body features to express a surreal narrative. http://cpolman.tumblr.com/

As a watercolor artist, my paintings give expression to my obsession for nature in all its forms, colors, and designs. With watercolor as my media and my passion, I concentrate significantly on nature, wildlife, birds, landscapes, seascapes, and sporting art, but I also pursue a variety of other subjects as well.. Always an admirer of birds, I paint many species, mainly from the Texas gulf coast. Capturing their color, their action, their moods, and their subtle mannerisms provides me with both delight and challenge.
Working with watercolor paints allows me to do many things with this medium. I find that I can experiment more with watercolor than all other media combined. With watercolors, I like to paint, drool, scratch, dab, mop, salt, and incorporate a wide variety of other techniques. Primarily, I paint in high detail capturing a scene that presents nature in its many patterns, shapes and spirit.
