I am a Contemporary Houston Artist. As far back as I can remember, all I ever wanted to do was create. When I was little I just wanted to make beautiful things to make people smile. As I got older and experienced more in life, I found I had a lot I actually wanted to say, but had a hard time putting it into words… but Where Words Fail, Art Speaks. followyourartbyreka.com

My Art is Bright, and Exciting, and sometimes Intense, and I am constantly trying new styles and techniques. Constantly trying to learn new things and continue growing.
For me, it’s about pouring your heart into something, creating something, and over hours and days, sometimes weeks, it all comes together, and then someone sees it and it stops them. For whatever reason they feel connected to it, it just fits them like a piece they were missing, and that’s it, in that moment your heart and their heart just completely connected. And that’s an amazing thing.
My art is just a collection of all of my thoughts, my dreams, my feelings, and my stories I could never figure out how to say, so I put them on a canvas and draw a line around them.

Tiffany Nesbit is a New Orleans artist, now working in Houston. Her studio practice is heavily influenced by both walks in the wilderness and urban areas of the southern states. She uses high fired ceramics, mixed media collage, ropes, and various weathered materials in her work. Her pottery describes the color pallets, plantlife and tropical bayou landscapes, including the creatures in them. You can find more of her installation work online at: www.tiffanyangelnesbit.com or follow her instagram @tiffanyangelstudioartist
Robin Whalan is an emerging visual artist, currently working in ink and printmaking. Self-taught, she found her voice through the power of art during the 2020 pandemic. Robin’s work is an expression of her own personal life experiences. A native Houstonian and historical building enthusiast with a background in interior design, she enjoys implementing local architecture, specializing in Art Deco. Her work is an emotional rollercoaster of heartbreak, love, disaster and humor; “relatable” and “honest” being the most commonly used words by viewers when describing her pieces. @robinwhalanart
The art I create is a fusion of sorts of painterly representational and impressionism and what some call abstract realism; in oils only, not acrylic, usually on linen panel.
I plein air paint often: oilfield, architectural, industrial and mechanical creations: old vehicles in auto and truck rest yards, old structures and bridges, West Texas oilfield scenes and coastal water craft, especially if they are in the boatyard for repair. Bring beauty to the uninteresting, used and worn commonplace objects. I also do paint landscapes if the scene is interesting.
My hope is that folks will see my art and their eyes have a peaceful place to rest; perhaps invoking a memory or whisking them away to an another place. Make something to lift someone’s spirits. Kindle an emotion of what my vision brings to their heart and let them have a smile.
I am an award wining artist. All my paintings are original one of a kind fine art oil paintings. Anyone who purchases one of my oil paintings will own an original fine art oil painting from an artist whose work is exhibited in a fine art museum; I earned the Museum Purchase Award at the 2019 EnPleinAirTEXAS event. garyfriskart.cominstagram.com/garyfriskart
I’m a storyteller with my jewelry. It can be a story of a painting which I saw, bird in a nature or at the sea, flowers in the garden, etc. Anything which I saw and fell in love with. I use different techniques in my work but my specialty is filigree.
I am based in Houston, TX with Austin roots. I have evolved in my artistic approach, driven by shifts in frame of mind through life’s challenges and joys. My creative process does not always begin with a vision, but instead an experience in mind. My profession is highly technical and I am a mother of young twin boys, so my art allows me to escape a sometimes regimented and stressful life to expose my multi-faceted self – sophistication with a hint of chaos and a pop of vibrancy.
Jenn Bianco is a Houston based artist with Austin roots. She has evolved in her artistic approach, driven by shifts in frame of mind through life’s challenges and joys. Growing up in Austin she was passionate about art and had numerous creative outlets, from singing in bands, to throwing pottery and various creative projects that she would immerse herself in. Jenn would go on to study accounting at the University of Texas at Austin and would later become a Certified Public Accountant at a big four accounting firm. Jenn has always been academically driven and competitive, and sometimes struggled to allow herself to explore her artistic passions. While Jenn has painted for over 10 years, her artistic aspirations have quite often stood in the shadows of her professionalobligations. When she and her husband had their amazing identical twin boys she felt there simply wasn’t enough ‘room’ in her life for art.

While working from home and caring for her family during the pandemic, she could no longer suppress the need to express herself through art. Jenn found herself pouring her heart and soul into abstract expressionism, experimenting with different acrylic mediums, spray paint and drip/pour techniques. She couldn’t get the ideas and visions out quickly enough and in just under 5 months found herself with a collection of over 20 pieces, ready and eager to commercialize her passion. Her supportive husband, Lenny, even took on a newfound hobby of his own, making custom wood frames for her pieces to compliment her bold and commanding artwork.
Jenn’s artwork allows her to escape a sometimes regimented and stressful life to expose her multi-faceted self that has always been there and now refuses to hide. She shows her authentic self through her painting; sophistication with a hint of chaos and a pop of vibrancy.
My art is a visual journey. Color and emotions and energy are what my art is all about and i am honored when a client connects with my art. ~ Elaine Lanoue
Coming from an artistic family I’ve always had a knack for drawing and have occasionally dabbled with other artistic pursuits throughout my life. My formal education and career path, however, focused on biology and environmental education, with a gradual shift from managing educational programming to producing publications. While those skill sets remain in my toolbox, I’ve recently begun taking classes at MFAH’s Glassell Studio School and am now focused on my education and development as a fine artist. Many of my early works were bound up in representing what IS…highly realistic representations of physical objects, animals, plants, and people. Recently I’ve worked to expand my horizons, loosening up in both style and ideation. Currently, my works are often nature-inspired, sometimes figurative and realistic, other times abstract or conceptual. I’m an emerging artist, learning, experimenting, and exploring the realm of what is possible and unbound by adherence to any particular media, technique, or subject matter. Maybe one day I’ll settle in to a marketable artistic “brand” but for now, I thrive on variety.
