With over 15 years experience in visual arts, I mostly enjoy working with acrylics, graphite and ink. My work has been described as “eccentrically high in detail” and that sums it up pretty good! My ideas are all creations from my own silly little brain, and I live for the smile on people’s faces when they see my work… that’s what it’s all about for me and why I create. My motto is simple: have fun with everything and always question the possibility!

Art is very personal to me. I put a lot of myself in my art. Whether it’s a painting, a collage, or random crafts, everything I do is very personal and an expression of how I feel at that moment in time. Through my art, I can obsess over different interests and express how I feel about the world. One of my favorite things about art is that I can edit the world the way I want to see it. There are no limits. I do a lot of watercolor and acrylic paintings. However, I also make hand-bound art journals, painted boxes, handmade bags and purses, and dread extensions. I do all sorts of arts and crafts. Personally, What makes my art different is my love for women. I try to bring out the beauty in everyone I paint and inspire women to love themselves. Sometimes a little reminder telling you’re beautiful or that everything will be okay is all you need. Facebook Page

Vicki Ryer & James Bird
Vicki Ryer & James Bird are photographers drawn to bright saturated colors and texture. They are intrigued by how everything can take on an entirely new life when taken out of context by the click of a shutter. An ongoing exploration of shape, shadow, color and light presents a view of the world in beautiful bold colors, often with a minimalist or abstract perspective. All of their miniature photographs are presented as they were seen through the viewfinder and are individually printed by the photographers using archival materials, signed and numbered in editions of 100 or less. fineartcolorphotography.com

My “Mottled Horses” – Equine art developed since 2002 in my new “Mottled” style that merges abstract and expressionism with a touch of realism. The subject is created on a colorful abstract background to express feelings, often shown as a close-up, with special attention to the eyes and focusing on specific moods and composition. Often with secondary transparent image/s to show movement or specific scenario.
In my paintings, I don’t intend to replicate photo-realistic objects, but to capture the utmost uniqueness of life. Illustrating my subjects, I often pay no attention to exact shapes, textures, or real colors and emphasize just on a small fragment, sometimes a very tiny detail, in order to insinuate an idea. That approach leads me to concentrate on what I feel and not what I see or know about the subject. Also, it helps me to effectively use visuals to depict a story about my subject. My art captures just an indication of a subject to leave the rest for my viewer’s imagination to create the unique picture.
