Contemporary still life painter 1963 Lily Borrero was born in Colombia and graduated as a graphic designer in 1984.
Lily paints flowers & still lifes where the lines intertwine creating gardens and colorful scenes that fuse reality and imagination. Tiffany Nesbit is a New Orleans artist, now working in Houston. Her studio practice is heavily influenced by both walks in the wilderness and urban areas of the southern states. She uses high fired ceramics, mixed media collage, ropes, and various weathered materials in her work. Her pottery describes the color pallets, plantlife and tropical bayou landscapes, including the creatures in them. The art I create is a fusion of sorts of painterly representational and impressionism and what some call abstract realism; in oils only, not acrylic, usually on linen panel.
I plein air paint often: oilfield, architectural, industrial and mechanical creations: old vehicles in auto and truck rest yards, old structures and bridges, West Texas oilfield scenes and coastal water craft, especially if they are in the boatyard for repair. Bring beauty to the uninteresting, used and worn commonplace objects. I also do paint landscapes if the scene is interesting.
My hope is that folks will see my art and their eyes have a peaceful place to rest; perhaps invoking a memory or whisking them away to an another place. Make something to lift someone’s spirits. Kindle an emotion of what my vision brings to their heart and let them have a smile.
I am an award wining artist. All my paintings are original one of a kind fine art oil paintings. Anyone who purchases one of my oil paintings will own an original fine art oil painting from an artist whose work is exhibited in a fine art museum; I earned the Museum Purchase Award at the 2019 EnPleinAirTEXAS event. garyfriskart.cominstagram.com/garyfriskart
I am an abstract artist that creates works by utilizing a variety of different techniques. I am drawn to bright colors, metallics, unique patterns and textures. My work is intuitive and driven by the emotion from both the light and dark in the world. I find beauty in the chaos. ldehavenfineart.com | instagram.com/ldehavenfineart | facebook.com/leslie.dehaven
I’m a storyteller with my jewelry. It can be a story of a painting which I saw, bird in a nature or at the sea, flowers in the garden, etc. Anything which I saw and fell in love with. I use different techniques in my work but my specialty is filigree.
My work is about the spiritual connection found in natural beauty and the temporal quality of our existence as part of nature. It is done in mixed media, acrylic, collage, water media, and at times encaustic. Working in mixed media lends itself to creating a visceral world made with multiple layers, an approach that imbues the work with meaning through the telling of a story and the passing of time in the process. www.carolinez.com
My paintings are all dimensional. I use cut bowling pins, tennis racquets, PVC pipe, and any other materials found in construction, nature, or your junk drawer to build out from the canvas.
I create abstract acrylic paintings on board, canvas and other materials using recycled and repurposed materials from my garage, house, and junk drawer. I have a passion for recovering and reusing materials from my home construction projects (my wife has an extensive honey-do list for me, especially since I am recently retired). My work is colorful, dimensional, eye-catching, and dynamic. facebook.com/Art-by-Butterartbybutter.com
