My medium is a varied mix of tiny shells, scraps of paper, slivers of glass, thick gel mediums, crusted gouache additives, creamy acrylic and globs of oil paints, traces of watercolor and melted wax crayons combined with hardened enamels and carefully chosen 14kt gold flake.
Every piece is original and every creation is an unpredictable surprise! I create with a clear heart, no expectations. The materials combined together create a resist-like reaction and the results are different every time…..each piece is genuinely unique and original!
I’m passionate about living the artful life. I have a great appreciation for nature and animals,20% of all sales goes to S.N.A.P. (Spay and Neuter Assistance Program) for animals. I am also an active advocate for the “Adopt Don’t Shop!” movement which means finding forever homes for our homeless furry friends.

At Knotty Woodworx, you’ll find one-of-a-kind cutting boards and serving trays. I am very dedicated to all hand built production. All of my cutting boards and serving trays are made by hand from start to finish. Each board is designed and crafted by me in my shop. I pick out quality woods from a local Houston hardwood supplier and make each individual cut myself. I then design the patterns of each board and assemble the wood to make unique boards. Each board is finished to a smooth surface and hand-rubbed with a combination of mineral oil and beeswax, so they are food-safe and ready to use, even if they look too pretty to cut on!
The boards are then coated with more wax and buffed to a soft, smooth, shine. The finishing process seals the wood and protects the board while allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of the wood. We do not use stains, so the color you see reflects the natural color of the wood.
My work is primarily abstract done with alcohol and metallic inks on Plexiglas. I also like to work with acrylic on canvas. My work would best be described as Abstract Expressionism with the use of vivid colors. My paintings are all original ideas from my mind’s eye and inspired by my emotions acquired by movements from the random fluidity of the mediums I work with.
